With God all things are possible.
Matthew 19:26
On 29 April 2016, I preached my first sermon in Moroto, many got saved and healed. Among those who got touched by the LORD is Joyce, here is her story.
One morning Joyce rose early to go fend for her family in Matany, a remote town North East of Uganda. Little did she know the events of the day would define the rest of her life. As she walked hurriedly to the market, she heard the sound of a fast approaching car.
She quickly moved further away from the road to let it pass, before she knew it, the car swerved in her direction and hit her. She fell with part of her body off the road, but her legs were right in the middle. The car kept coming toward her and the screams amounted to nothing as it drove right over her thighs.
Shocked, broken and bleeding, she noticed the car stopped a short distance ahead and there were two men in the car who both peeped at her. The co-driver who seemed like the car owner said something to the driver which she couldn’t discern. Right after, the car started reversing. At first, she thought they meant to help her, but the speed at which the car moved made her realize that their intention was to run over her again. With great pain, she rolled herself into a trench before the car could run over her.
Despite her quick actions, the car managed to knock her again, though slightly. After the failed murder attempt, they sped off immediately. Thereafter, onlookers came to her rescue and rushed her to hospital with broken legs. It took several surgeries over 24 months for her to be able to walk but with great pain.
When she came to that meeting, she walked with difficulty using two clutches. I remember asking her, “What would you like the LORD to do for you?” She said, “I want the LORD to heal me, I am in a lot of pain and can’t take it anymore. “Do you believe God can heal you now?” I asked. She responded, “I believe”. The LORD healed her instantly, she threw away the clutches and ran free of pain.
Friend, you too can “Believe Him for anything right now,” talk to Him about it. Nothing is impossible for Him.
