In His Presence #35: Let Him

Hands folded in prayer

In His Presence · #35 · 25.05.2020

“I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?

Jeremiah 32:27

It was a rainy November evening when I walked into the church for midweek service, as I sat at the back I wept through the sermon like a child. Two questions kept running through my mind. How did I get here? And How was I going to pick up the broken pieces of my life?

“God cares, He loves you and wants to help you come through it because He is the LORD God Almighty,” said the Pastor as he preached that night, those words cut through me like a chain saw. Then why did He take this long? I asked myself!

I wanted those words to be true at that very moment, I wanted to believe them even with the littlest of faith left in me, but I was too worn out to gather any strength to accept the message that night. I had spent many months on my knees weeping before the LORD because I had taken a wrong turn in 2014 that led me to a dead end, perhaps you too have been here.

As I walked home, I thought to myself, “Will I ever come out of this situation?” I said my prayers, went straight to bed. In the wee hours of the morning, I had a visitation from the LORD, and He said, “I am the LORD, Is anything too hard for me? I knelt before Him and I wept saying, “Nothing is impossible for you, LORD.”

When He spoke to me that morning, I felt so renewed and encouraged because I knew I wasn’t alone, He cared after all. I started to believe in the impossible and that God would do anything for me, even getting me back on track.

Friend, I don’t know where you are right now or what has been happening this past few days, month or years. Here is what the LORD wants you to know, He can do all things. Whatever it is, He will make it up to you 100 times over.

There is no hole too deep that Jesus can’t pull you out of and no situation too bad that He won’t fix. If anything seems impossible its only because you haven’t taken it to Him. Give Him a chance, Let Him and see how He turns things around.

Here is your Prayer Path

Dear Father, I lay my life at your feet, and I believe You will turn things around for me. In Jesus Name. Amen

Your Friend,
Pastor Mark A. Odeke
